Got an over-poster in your Facebook group? How to limit their activity.
Do you have one of those people in your group who is… how shall I say it?
Or maybe… obnoxious?
There are lots of things you can do about it on your own via your rules, which they may or may not listen to, but Facebook also offers a tool to help automate the s-l-o-w d-o-w-n quite effectively!
It is aptly named “Limit Activity” and is available to most admins.
And using it is super easy.
Here’s how to limit a group member’s activity:
- From your phone, locate a recent post of the annoying offender.
- Click on the three dots to the right of that person’s name.
- Scroll down to “Limit Activity: Limit how often this member can post or comment”
- Set activity limits. You can limit both the posts to how many posts the user can make per day in your group as well as the comments per hour. You can also set expirations on both of these, or keep them in place for all of eternity…
- Don’t forget to SAVE!
Do you have “one of those” members?
Do you let it go or impose some limits?
