What’s the difference between a Facebook business page and a Facebook group?
Facebook groups are all the rage, but for the newbies out there, it can be super confusing to figure out the difference between a Facebook page, a Facebook group, and a Facebook profile.
It’s okay to be a newbie! Here’s a quick run-down of the differences:
A Facebook Page is the personal profile of the business, person or organization. So, for example, I have a Facebook business page and it represents my business, Grouptize, in an official capacity (don’t forget to like my page!).
A Facebook Group is more like a forum, or if you’re super old school, a bulletin board. Its purpose is more of a discussion platform and communication space for people with similar interests.
I also have a Facebook group for my community, which is called Monetizing Your Community Facebook Group (click here to join!).
And then, of course, I have my own personal Facebook profile, which is for my important personal stuff, like ‘Which Schitt’s Creek Cast Member are you?” online quiz results. (JK, I don’t think this quiz exists, but also, I hope I’m David.)
Do you have a group, a page, a profile, or all three?
